There is a very large oak tree near the 100-yard line, about five yards in front and ten feet beside the target stand. My brother Boge was standing behind it, and was perfectly safe.

Savage Arms is now run by people that like good guns. The company had problems when it was run by people that were in it just for the money.
You're a good shot - steady as a rock!

wow 3 shots same hole!! nice shooting.

I really like this rifle, what would one expect to pay for one of these?

Either will work. The lighter barrel heats up quicker, but other than that, one is as good as the other.

Really like the gun. If I were to get one and also want to use it for long range target practice, would you recommend getting a heavy barrel or do you feel like the barrel in this video is practical enough for extremely long range repetitive shots? Thanks!
in your opinion would the Savage Model 11 Lightweight Hunter make a good rifle for an 11 year old boy?

It would, if the stock fits the boy. The length of pull needs to be right for the boy's size.

I like the American Walnut, it gives it a classy look, but does the fluting under the forend hurt or pinch your hand?

Not at all.

What's a better platform, this or the T3 lite?

Just depends upon personal preference, but I prefer the design of the Savage action.
