1:47: That's my hometown's old drive-in, the Circle in Waco, TX. It closed down around 1982, I believe, and re-opened as a flea market in the early '90s.
I am on the mailing list and can't wait to watch this. I live outside of Chicago in the south suburbs and saw the drive ins went from probably over 100 to only a few and the closest open one is an hour from me. There are two abandoned drive ins within a half hour from me and live to see both reopen, though one is now a compost facility.
Nicely done ... nicely done!!! How very true, too! I grew up going to Drive-Ins, then worked at them, then finally operated my own! I even published a Drive-In Theatre preservation newsletter at one time. Only two of 42 remain here in CT, but the memories can never be erased from my mind and soul! I am now a professional film actor ... this is crazy, but I'd be thrilled to be able to one day see one of my movies projected upon the GIANT screen!!! Thanks again, and God Bless!!!
