Not near as good as if it had been done in full costume. [understatement]
However, the rehearsal feel itself lends a unique air to the performance which most "normal" [like myself] people would not otherwise experience.
Those unfamiliar with the extravagance typically associated with this scene, should either A) go watch a stage performance of The Phantom or B) watch the Movie with Emmy Rossum.
