Look at you guys, your going on and on about the "good old days" and seemingly forgetting that this track was made just a few years ago. I feel the same as everyone else, but let's also celebrate and support the good hip-hop being made today, tracks by Madlib as well as others, rather than weakly lamenting the past. Hip-hop fans have enormous power to change hip-hop. If all we do is whine about the past then we could stunt the growth of the genre and everything will stagnate.
lol. its a good argument (maybe..), but the track itself is a tribute to the old skool and the real hiphop, so of course thats gonna be the topic of comments.
By the way, "stunt the growth of the genre and everything will stagnate" already happened. the only reason real hiphop can still be made is because those making it still believe in it, and are not really in it for the caaaaaaaaaaash maaaaaaaaaaaan.
