http://www.eazyev.com - This is my personal project for a new electric vehicle site I am starting. I can only work on it after hours, but it is still a lot of fun. This is actually as easy as it sounds in the video. Everyone should be doing this because it practically drives for free and is 100% pollution free. All of the components needed are dirt cheap and you can find them used very easily. I hope this inspires you to build your own and there will be a lot more videos to come.

  • @paytontech. This one is a very DIY, small budget conversion. $900 truck and everything. Nope, the motor never twisted the motor mount, I used that truck until I upgraded to the next level without any trouble.

  • The next video will be a 93 Mazda extended cab pickup. It has a Warp9 motor, 144V Curtis Controller, power brakes, and DC/DC controller. It should be finished up soon, so stay tuned.

  • Hey good job. I wanna do one myself. Couple of questions though:

    1. I didn't see the controller. What kind is it? How big? And where do you have it mounted?

    2. What kind of motor is the forklift motor (AC or DC)?

    3. Can you give the overall cost of the project?

  • I have learned a lot since the mazda truck. What kind of vehicle are you converting?

  • Driving it everyday and with proper shifting you it will go 40 mph. I am already onto a Honda Accord..... bolting in the forklift motor as we speak.

  • It actually works pretty good. It has a top speed of 30 or 35 because I used a forklift pump motor instead of the forklift drive motor. I will be posting more soon...

  • where can i get a forklift motor ive been looking for 5 yrs now and still cant find anything can you help please

  • Where is part 2 ??? I am really interested in this. I have a 94 GMC sonoma I wouldn't mind trying this on.

  • btw, I dig the square tube adapter but you should really connect them to the top of the bell housing as well. just hanging on an arm like that must be vibration vulnerable

  • it is possible to convert to electric motor on a ShuttleVan that kind that is use at airpot terminals? something like this? h t t p://w w w . youtube . com /watch?v=vRsY-pI8h5w&feature=related

  • nice and simple. Brilliant!

  • good KISS there.

what is the rattling mechanical sound? just because there is no oil in the transmission?

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • so what if you skipped the tranny all together and installed direct to driveshaft?

  • Nice to-the-point conversion. Am I mistaken in guessing that your motor twisted that motor mount when you first test drove it?
