http://youtube.com/ogilvy Meet Jack Rabid: he's heard of every band on the planet. OK maybe not every band but he sure as hell is a super-fan. He's been writing and publishing 200+ plush pages of interviews and reviews in each issue of The Big Takeover music magazine for 30 years and has no plans of stopping. • Jack is amazing, and The Big Takeover is the best music magazine in the world, plain and simple.

  • His writing rarely borders on the pretentious. That's no small feat for a rock journalist, especially one with such an undying fervent believe in the power of great music. If you see him, buy him a margarita. He has many great stories.

  • Jack. Rabid. Is. Cool.

  • Ugh, "super-fan" doesn't work for me, but damn Jack you did yourself proud in this vid!

  • Very cool. Very insightful.

  • This guy is awesome.

  • This why we love Jack Rabid and The Big Takeover SO much!

  • "I was not consulted on the place of my birth"

    Comic gold!

  • I was one of those people meeting you on the streets in NYC back in the early 80's gladly accepting one of your fanzines. Because of that meeting I am a huge fan of Mark Burgess and the Chameleons. I was so disappointed when he and bandmates came to NYC when I was away in the summer, but I was able to catch them in Baltimore. I still own a cassette of your first recording of Springhouse and still prouldly wear the music pin of Springhouse.
