Let me tell you something Dr roper first it was not treatment (how dare you) I had a foot problem believe it or not Dr Cameron in his file on me admitted it. It would not matter if it was mental problem or not because IT WAS NOT TREATMENT FOR ANYTHING

Empirical science, such as psychology, has destroyed the Idea of God, and continues to. Even though they cannot disprove God. This is what happens when those in power forget God, and begin to think of themselves as that same God.

We had a similar case here in Australia at Chelmsford Private Hospital. They used an almost identical "deep sleep therapy" that left many people stuffed for life. They had a Royal Commission into it a few were prosecuted but the doctor who ran it Harry Bailey killed himself before he could be prosecuted. The government really laid into those creeps, whether it was a case of attacking the little guy to protect the CIA I don't know.

@photo986 It's a classic case of how doctors close ranks when one of them is being attacked in spite of how horrible their treatments were. It doesn't matter what they do they will always defend one another. Just goes to show that the patients DON'T come first, it's the medical profession that they place above all others.

idk im 25 and i kno i wasnt around in those days but wouldnt that still seem to be wrong? i kno they didnt have all the info we have today and the western govs were scared shitless of what the koreans did to american pows, and communist russia and china. but what they ignore is that the koreans used no drugs, just locked ppl in a small room that was dark all the time. believe it or not within 2 weeks 90% of all ppl would just pray or mumble and within a month just about all were brainwashed.

Roper is as sick as they come he says it was treatment of last resort. Roper was fired from the allen memorial hospital because of what he was doing. Roper it was not treatment for any thing period. The american psychiatric assoc condemed it. I cant help wondering what sick psychiatrists are doing these days in the name of homeland security

Believe it or not i was admitted to that hospital with a foot problem

As someone who works in the area of (so-called) mental health and addictions, I would argue that psychiatry is a dangerous pseudo-science at best. It's frustrating as hell knowing that psychiatric abuse continues unabated. Some of us working in the system continually challenge the prevailing paradigms and speak out against the abuses, the labeling and forced medication. And I recommend the work of Thomas Szasz and Peter Breggin, among others, to all my co-workers.
