I am a woman, I weld on field jobs...I go everywhere. And I am not the only one.
I work for a huge company and believe me: they don't f...k around with staff that's not competent. If I weren't good, yes: woman and good at welding, they wouldn't have kept me.

You are correct but you have to realize that these women are probably apprentices and are just learning. Most likely they have a few years to go before getting their journeyman tickets. They are in school to make the mistakes and have instructors teach them what is correct. Knowledge comes with time.
