  • Very informative ! I'm doing phone interviews for a graduate study about Swedish teens studying English in England for two or three weeks in the summer - does it develop their language in the short term, and how - and this is by far the best advice I have found on Youtube!

    (Otherwise I'm using "Interviews - Learning the Craft of Qualitative Research Interviewing" by Kvale & Brinkmann as a Reference" )

  • I work for a large market research company in New Zealand and I have to say I agree totally with everything said in this video. VERY rarely does the 'Why?' question come into play in any of our interviewing, but we do get the exact information we're looking for by getting the respondent to tell us more about it, in a 'safe', non-threatening way. This was very informative.
