Indeed. This seems to be a very useful and versatile set-up. In fact, your opponent was well aware of this and had to start an OC in order to escape.

After hitting with Gekirou (turn off), Gen can target crossup>chain commbo>Zanei.
Then, if gen hit Gekirou, he target crossup again. like this movie.
Mekuri(cross-up) loop is one of the most important strategies for Gen.
