Seo Taiji Boys' debut. It was first broadcasted in MBC in 1992 where new artists would perform and get judged by a panel of critics. Taiji boys got the lowest score in the show, but the audience differed and changed the way music was done in Korea. Korean music can be divided in two eras: Pre Seo Taiji and Post Seo Taiji. Also, they gave rise to the boy bands that we see in Korea today.

@DatEnigmatic at this point it's not about "copy" Korean rap, Kpop etc has its own cadence distinct from American pop. Was Kpop directly influenced by American pop? yes. the same way that the Beatles were influenced by American R&B and jazz was influenced by Dixieland
In the vid, seotaiji is ALL emotion & heart and lacking in technical imitation if anything. Slug is being a hater, he is musically tone deaf and spends all day thinking about "facials" lol

@GloomySunset I don't think he was being a hater. This person DOES kind of prove a point. However, this person should had put their comment a different way. I don't believe that Koreans tend to imitate black people. They just admire Americans and their music. But K-Pop mainly focuses on pop and R&B, which majority of artists in America who are in those genres, are black.

korean people are really good are imitating black people. the dance moves are great, but the facials aren't there, there no emotion behind it is pure imitation.
