@ff621 Ask Juan Marichal himself and I bet you he'll say Pedro... Pedro in his first 12 years had better numbers than Koufax(considered to be the best pitcher in history)... The only difference is that when Koufax's ERA was 1.50, the league ERA was 1.90. When Pedro ERA was 1.74 the league ERA was 6.00. For 7 years Pedro averaged an 2.02 ERA while the entire league avarged 5.60. lol. To me Pedro is the best pitcher ever. Only pitcher in history to post a WHIP of .700 for a WHOLE season...

funny that pedro got signed for 1 million dollars and did a great job but a pitcher like Ben Sheets got 10 Million for one year and nowhere near as good as pedro Even with Pedro's age

@bitchassnes1875 Ryan pitched til he was 46 and he was still throwing in the High 90's, last week Ryan at 63 threw thefirst pitch of the ALCS and he threw it in the 80's , so why Pedro can't do it? is Ryan a better man than Pedro?? Pedro doesn't even pitch in the Dominican Winter League in his own country. I understand when he had a MLB contract but what about now?? BTW Juan Marichal is the Best Dominican pitcher that ever played the game.ask any old timer that watched him pitch.

He was Good because the Managers always protected him, every time that he was getting hit in the begining of the game they would pull him out and not give him the chance to come out of his own mess. IMO Juan Marichal was way much better than Pedro.

@ff621 pedro has almoust 40 years old he is not a young man, try you to trhow in the majors with 40.. pedro won 3 cy young and striked out everybody in a all star game... no one hitterl wanted faced to pedro in his best moments and if pedro was a bad player u wouldnt say anything about him..... he is one of the best pitchers ever!!!
