You might be obsessed with RUFUS if you are flying 1,200 miles to see him in concert for the first time (YAY KCMO FEB 21 HERE I COME)! RUFUS is my cell phone wallpaper, I've converted 3 people in the past month to RUFUSISM, I'll never forget the dream I had where he picked me up in a bio-diesel converted vw bug, I've bought magazines off ebay cause RUFUS was in them, I ADORE the Beatles but RUFUS' Across the Universe, I could listen to it over and over and over. Ummm, Sign. I may be obsessed. :)

Oh, my! You've got it bad! Not to worry, though. If you are too concerned about it, I suggest you relieve your anxiety by promptly listening to "I Don't Know What It Is" from Want One and if that doesn't help, listen to at least 5 tracks...all in a row from "Poses". That's powerful enough to cure cancer! ;)

John Lennon's version, is, OF COURSE, better.. and prolly the BEST amongst others. But, Rufus does have a nice voice!

In most cases, I feel the Beatles had the best versions of their own songs, but in this case, I don't. Just a personal preference. John's version sounds so dated and the flange they put on the vocal is annoying. I can understand why many do prefer his original version, though. :)
