Though I like Ms. Clark Barbara has got the voice for this song. Baby A Go Go is what I have on my Motown Compliation cd I bought some years ago. She sounds great on this song. I remember when she made the Marvelettes "here I am baby" and my sister told me of this cut back in 1968. It would take me years to hear it.

SWEET

fascinating version of one of my favourites. many thanks

It's Barbara McNair and no one can figure out why it wasn't finished (the strings are missing) and released. Why did anyone at Motown think it couldn't be a hit? This was the original lyric, "Counting on You," which was rewritten as "Baby A Go Go."

This is indeed Barbara McNair, and is the version that was on the 2CD Anthology set from a few years ago. IIRC, it was remixed from the 8 track master using the alternate vocal.
Great selection of tracks Btw!

I know Chris Clark... and this not her. It's Barbara McNair for sure. Nice track. Thanks for posting it.

Clark or McNair, does`nt change the fact that this is a great track, ktf.
