This was a freakin AMAZING film!

Also, the real life Lucas also had a mildly retarded common law wife named Becky Powell who was 13 or 14 when they were together and Lucas killed her in real life. Exactly like what Early Grace does in Kalifornia. Great, underrated film.

In this movie, Brad Pitt actually gives one of the most realistic and believable portrayals of a psychopathic serial killer on film. Early is much smarter than he lets on with his hick Kentucky accent. It was like he had studied Henry Lee Lucas because Early's creepy good-old boy killer is exactly the image of the real life murderer Lucas.

By far the greatest film, I ever watched!

The acting in this film was very good, I especially liked Juliet Lewis - her characterisation was excellent.

Brad Pitt has a cameo face. Compare his looks from " A river runs through it " and from this movie right here. From a young looking cute sweet fisherboy, to a hardcore cold son of a bitch that looks creepy as hell, making charlie manson looking like a fruitboy.
