  • 2 apm FTW

  • @super6plx This video is intended to demonstrate a mouse-emulator on a multi-touch platform, and is not suggesting this as a better way to play Starcraft. Indeed, as I mentioned in another comment, your apm is _much_ lower with this system. That wasn't the point at all -- Starcraft was designed for use with a mouse and keyboard -- not touch input. I play Starcraft, built a multi-touch mouse emulator, and thought it'd be a cool demo of the technology.

  • Does your software work with the same commands in other applications? Or does it have to be (re)writen for every specific app and/or game?

  • @Bartalaa This video is demonstrating a mouse emulator. Thus, it functions with any application that uses the mouse, without customization.

  • 1finger= left button

    2 fingers= right button?

this emulation of mouse for multitouch, is able for capacitive multitouch, or infrared only? I interessed to play as you on my tablet multitouch pc... please reply.

  • @victornpb The mouse emulator can function on any type of multi-touch platform, but it will require implementing the Bespoke Multi-Touch Network Gateway for that specific hardware (not too challenging).

    1 finger = left click

    2 fingers = double click

1 finger held down (anchor point) + tap to the right = right click

1 anchor point + tap to the left = left click

1 anchor point + move vertically with a second point to the right = mouse scroll

    1 anchor point + move horizontally above = alt-tab

  • @super6plx hehe I knew as soon as I clicked post comment that you would think that, of course it is a very cool technology (enjoying multitouch on my samsung wave right now :D) and I meant nothing by it, apart from as a joke ^^

maybe you should try impliment this into other games that don't have such hardcore starcraft nerds- er, fans.. :P

  • and where's the link to download? i want to play RTS games on my tablet pc....

  • Well, I'm the guy in the video, and I wasn't frustrated. But then, I built the multi-touch table and software, so I'd likely be more tolerant of deficiencies than others would.

That said, I don't think this is a better way to play Starcraft -- and this was not the purpose of this video. In fact, your actions per minute (APM) using this setup is much lower than with the mouse and keyboard. This is only a demonstration of the mouse emulation function of my multi-touch framework.

  • he seemed very frustrated
