  • I'm a composer & conductor. I'm very impressed with your ideas here. Would you mind if I created a setting of your chant as a refrain, with perhaps some of the psalm verses added to make an anthem of sorts? I would of course give you credit. I direct a choir that could perform it, as long as you gave permission...

  • @DuctorCantorum Hello, and thanks for the comments and of course you can use it. I didn't invent it, its just a round. Thanks for contacting me and I would be very interested to hear the result of your project. All the best. Anne

  • Amazing! Got goosebumps...

  • Like angels singing! Beautiful rendition!

  • Very moving, yet simple version. I loved the connection of words and images. You have helped me today as I prayed for our broken cities. Thanks and Peace :)

  • LOVE!

  • great job!!! great sensibility!! keep doing this!

  • @DuctorCantorum This version of the round was composed by William Billings. It has been featured in the tv show Mad Men, and is well known because of Don McLean, who is known for "American Pie."

  • @DuctorCantorum

It's one of Don McLean's wonderful set pieces, arranged by him and Lee Hays of The Weavers.

Check out McLean's live version here at YouTube

  • i sang this in my chorus...

  • @foxxvixx So where did you get the melody? It doesn't sound like strictly a round. I would say you have a second melody coming in simultaneously with the first, then adding something else. Perhaps a canon of sorts... I have transcribed what I hear, but I'd like to know exactly what you recorded. Would you perhaps have a notated version you could send me?
