Eric and Mary Kay Mace, of Carpentersville, remember their daughter, Ryanne, one of the victims of the shootings at Northern Illinois University last year.
Ive watched this a few times! Katie who wrote below was also my co worker at EB/Carsons. We still have the bullliton board up in the breakroom of her. Theres pictures of her and us and other coworkers. She is not forgotten and will never be forgotten. I still miss her, im still angry. She was such a good friend and so understanding and her humor was unforgettable. She was an amazing person, and a wonderful friend to me.
and I smile at the memories, because they really were good times. And its hard, its certainly not easy, but I do try to get people at Elder-Beerman/Carson's to smile and laugh about her again. Because I know she wouldn't want this to continue and I'm determined enough to not let her become a depressing thought in peoples minds because that wasn't Ryanne, and I wont let Ryanne become that at Elder-Beerman/Carson's
I miss Ryanne every single day. I can remember the last moment I spoke with her like it was yesterday. I remember the 24 hours after her death like they were yesterday. But she really was one of the most caring happiest people I knew. And shes taught me to appreciate and love life and to really care and be happy with it. I think about her everyday...
