John Mayer Panama Cover 7/13 Merriweather

john mayer has no comparison with eddie. he shoudn't step on the shred territory. he is an ok guitar player but he has to understand tha song like this one are 100% hard rock shred and shouldn't be played like some soft pop song. i respect john mayer as a muscician but this is too much.

DRH did well for someone that only provides backup vocals. John did pretty well too. However it was obvious that he couldn't pull of eddie's signature tricks ( Fingertapping and such) this fact could also be seen and heard when he did the solo for Beat It. He just can't compete (no disrespect to JM. I ADORE him and the way he plays the blues!)

lol they hadn't rehearsed this song at all before they played it. I was there =D Best time ever. And Beat It isn't really the best song to judge someone's rock-ability, in my opinion.

Please don't think the singer is awful from just this...he can sing check out david ryan harris.
