LS Sweet home Alabama nice song. They had a big hit in Europe in 76. We loved LS,they were amazingly cool at the festivals, they really had the audience with them. LS you Will live ón forever RIP......

@ansionnachcliste You have to remember that there was two music shows on the BBC at the time.
Top of the pops was the kiddies music show and the whistle test was the programme that showcased the obscure and sometimes experimental music
Radio had the late, great and sadly missed John Peel to promote independant music.
As previously mentioned, Jools Holands show is the nearest we have nowadays but its a mix of both commercial and serious musicans and its integrity is suffering because of it.
