Binghamton University fraternity Pi Kappa Phi hosted the 1st Annual Journey of Hope Bike-A-Thon during Spring Fling. Push America exists to support people with disabilities and develop members of Pi Kappa Phi into the leaders of tomorrow. The actual Journey of Hope consists of Pi Kappa Phi brothers from all across the country completing a two-and-a-half month bicycle ride from California to Washington, D.C. Along the way they provide events for communities geared toward the education and awareness of people with disabilities. These college students give up their summers to bike about 100 miles a day for close to 75 days straight to make a difference in the world. The goal is to educate and increase awareness of those with disabilities through a 55-hour straight stationary bike ride.
