@PhillyC187 you're kidding, i hope. Lynn Anderson OWNS this song. It was a L.A. classic long before Crystal re-did it in the '80s. Lynn Anderson can, to this day, out sing Crystal Gayle on any song, any time .... and especially on "Cry". Absolutely not even in the same league as Lynn's version.

Lynn Anderson was as big as you got back then. They received 16 gold records from around the world for Rose Garden alone. When you have the best writers of the day (Joe South wrote Rose Garden) write songs for a GREAT singer, you just can't miss!
