"The man I (am)" is a SMART nice quiet guy who finds it hard to be outgoing and take the lead. That is why I can relate to this song. I was not complaining, I was just expressing my interest.

It's basically about me and a best friend... we've been going through a series of relationships/ppl in our lives... but I am really in love with my best friend to death and I cant shake it. It sucks... enough said...
PS We have bonded with T-Swift before. My favorite time was when we were driving around w/ the windows down blasting "Love Story" and singing it on the top of our lungs! We call it "our song" though we acknowledge the irony of it =[

Love this song. As a guy, I'm sick of how girls seem to fall for the "handsome jerk," instead of the "normal nice guy." I know this isn't always the case, or even the majority, but it seems to be a concept that's pretty popular and accepted on television..
