Charles Kuralt

I loved this show and loved how he loved America and the uniqueness of the people and what made us all so special. I was always so envious of him being paid to travel all over like that.

I consider this show to be the finest news program if not the finest program ever produced. Never to be duplicated, On The Road was as good as it gets and Charles Kuralt was the absolute best news correspondent ever. The show is to be treasured and remembered as an example of just how great the United States and its citizens once were.

Charles ran track at Central High in Charlotte. The school closed down in 1959 when Garinger High appeared.

Not many good journalists have that love for America concerning the land and its people. He didn't travel to get paid. It was in him.
