Hi Musicfan, something tells me you're American. I don't know the store you're talking about, but you should ask for more of ENRICO PACE. He won the Liszt Competition in The Netherlands in 1989, since then he is very famous in The Netherlands and troughout Europe. A REAL musiscian, you should see his performance of the Don Giovanni-paraphrase (in the competition that he won...)
Some 30+ years ago, I first heard this exquisite piano work in a college undergraduate music theory course that I was taking. It has always been my fav. classical piano work. I heard it once on an FM late night classical radio station about 5 years ago, and again about 2 years ago. I knew that it was by Brahms, but could not recall the title of this work. By sheer luck, I found it on a CD at a Barnes & Noble store, which I bought without a second thought. Great interpretation by Eric Pace!
Enrico and Igor forever..This is the music.
