I've had this song in my head for the past 3 months. It's charming, fun, and sexy! I love pre-Code films

The Hollywood actresses back in those days actually had to have talent. They could all sing and dance, as well as act. They were talented and they were class acts all the way around. The so-called stars today are pathetic, anorexic pieces of trash in most cases. Oh, who had a rich daddy or uncle in the movie producing business.

I could not get this wierd song out of my head the other day , and it took a while to remember what movie it came from As Usual Colbert got her was, she was phobic about being photographed from the left, true watch any film she ever did and all you see is Colbert from the left, if you do see the right it is carefully draped with a hat a veil or her hair...

The Smiling Lieutenant is one of Ernst Lubitsch's early musicals, a masterpiece now available on DVD at last. Don't miss it! This is one of the great scenes and songs from it.
