Great job man, anyone playing jazz at your age(and well at that) should be commended not told what pick-up setting they should use! Don't listen to those fools they're just jealous. Swing on brother!

you are lost but bebop is difficult ! keep in work and listen jazz

@jw89 It's true that the neck pickup can sound great, but I quite like the sound of the guitar in this video. Bebop should be fairly aggressive.
-
@lexo30 you're right..but the sound of the guitar in this vid just cut through everything else - and not in a good way. the bridge pickup just didn't show off the real beautiful sound that kind of guitar can make.

gibson p-90 is the best

Christ, this is fashistic jazz! But, in a humanistic kind of way, I must say.

the telecaster would have similar twang but not as much sustain or fullness as this hollowbody's bridge pickup

check out avishai cohen

Seriously. You have good technique and playing, but man for this style of music, you have to take advantage of that fat sound and low treble of the hollowbody guitar.

you play very good! don't take seriously silly comments
NICE! Don't use your bridge pick up tho..

Use whatever pickup you want. There's no law that says what pickup you have to use in jazz; unfortunately guitarists behave as though there is, which is why so much jazz guitar is so boring (I speak as someone who plays a little bit myself).
