Straight out of 1977, Wire's Pink Flag still stands boldly as one of rock's most minimalist statements. This thing spits in the face of traditional song structures, but still maintains some really catchy flavors. One of my all-time favs, and I hope it becomes ones of yours, too.

a band that you should review for the sake of a bit of modern exposure that you should know, and if not SHOULD HEAR! is Nomeansno. they have many of the qualities im seeing in your preferences. and they are fucking amazing.

A good starting place for new listeners is the album WRONG.
