An international community of World of Warcraft players and gamers came together to pay tribute to Norway. On Wednesday July 27, 2011 gamers from all over the world gathered to have a minute of silence for the victims of the Oslo bombing and shooting at Utoya.

I have so many people to thank for helping me make this video. To all of you that took part and sent me pictures and video of the event, I am so grateful and proud to be a member of this gaming community.

I would like to personally thanks WoWHobbs, Tradechat, Evelynstar, Lex, Vyrix, Hundar and Machinima Realm for the support they gave me and my project, and for all their hard work in helping me promote this event.

  • it's nice to see that people are showing their support in-game, most of them live far away from Norway but coming together on a video game just shows that they have a heart :)

  • @WorldofPairs Exactly. :) Thanks for watching it Dyl, hope all is good with you down under!

  • @SpoonySpoonacus I live in Oslo, I have friends who have lost loved ones. I am one of those who are mourning in Norway. I was at the gathering in downtown Oslo. I asked the WoW community to come together to stand together, to mourn together, to remember and pay respect together as we did in Oslo. Virtual or in real life, the thoughts we had in our hearts to remember the victims is the same. Whether people did that in Oslo or from their living room across the world, it is the same.

  • Very touching movie Zeilla, thank you! Just because we sit behind a screen, then it doesn't mean that we dont have hearts and that we can't feel the pain of a nation who has to live with a tradegy - We want to show our support as well, but going to Norway doing so is not possible. It is not about gathering a lot of people - It is about the thoughts that these people had in their minds for the minute of silence that counts. Rest in peace beloved children of Norway - You will never be forgotten.

  • @Tommy0145 Since 1968, ETA has been blamed for killing 829 individuals, injured thousands and undertaken dozens of kidnappings. The group is proscribed as a terrorist organization by the Spanish and French authorities, as well as the European Union as a whole, and the United States. More than 700 members of the organization are incarcerated in prisons in Spain, France, and other countries.

  • @aniceto41 maybe harsh to say but i've never ever heard about it, also confirming my statement :\ What gets blown up by the media is what 'the people' believe in appearantly and then i'm a heartless bastard for saying what i've said in my first comment :\... people are strange...

  • @Tommy0145 I totally agree ... no tears shed about the terrorist bombings we have had to endure here in spain since 1978

  • nothing against the victims, but more people are dieing in the middle-east due to wars they have nothing to do with and more people die due to famine and genocidal wars in africa, but we seem not to give one fuck. but suddenly a few get shot by a crazy fuckhead and we are all that close to them. same with Pukkelpop this year, only 5 died, while the hurricane in america, which was forseen, killed over 50+ and we still didn't gave one fuck...

  • Mourning the people who died= good.

Spending your life in a virtual world= bad.

  • Ville alldri trodd at dette ville skjedd inne på WoW! Veldig rørende, selvom det er ingame...

  • This is such a nice video! Anyone know what song is playing in the video ?

  • @DeathShiva yeah the bombing and the killing spree was recently :/

  • It is never too late to take a moment of silence and honor those who have passed away regardless of how they may have gone. Though their bodies may be gone, their spirits live on. Nothing truley dies, there is only a new life waiting for them on the other end of the life cycle. Zeilla, you truly have a heart of gold, and may your shining spirit never fade.
