@lastswordfighter They needed modified bullets because of the cordolane signal, which excites the copper atoms on the surface of their normal bullets and causes them to expand in the barrel of the gun, thus rendering them unusable.

1: It wasn't a civil war. Keep your combat jargon straight, please.
2: The reason the Colonists won against the British Empire during the American Revolution was two-fold. The resourcefulness of the Colonial soldiers was a large factor, but the overconfidence on the part of the British Army, a trained fighting force that was fighting lightly-armed and poorly-supplied civilians, very likely cost them the war.
3: I assume you were being sarcastic when you posed that question.

@DarkTerrorX Imfdb is having the same problem you guys arre with identifying the rifles that are used. Juding from still pictures it is clear that they aren't M4 Carbines that much is certain. It definitely some AR15 or M16 carbine variation. With the US Army alone there were about eight different M16 Carbine variations in service before standarization of the M4 Carbine.

Um got to ask if UNIT needed to modified steel bullets because of the of the Sontarn gas and the Valiant blew away the gas than couldn't they just use regular bullets? The gas prevented copper jacketed rounds from firing because they needed oxygen in order to ignite the gun powder. The Valiant blew the gas away around warehouse's area creating a dome of air. That means there's just regular oxygen in that area. Wouldn't that allow them to just use their plain old bullets?
