Space...The Final Frontier....

@ClassicTVMan1981X Yeah, it is. It was originally composed by Alexander Courage for the Old Series' Opening Scene. You can hear it in the Opening of "The Next Generation" and in each of the eleven Movies, too.

I wonder if the so-called "Star Trek" fanfare is the one that plays as William Shatner opens the intro to the original 1966-69 TV series by saying "Space. The Final Frontier ..."?

@entgalaxy I thought it was First Contact as well.

Thank you

@obviouslyjacoby I'd have to imagine that Paramount was pretty happy with the results of your guys' hard work.

Fantastic!
PS: I think it is taken from "ST VIII: First Contact", is true?
Our company, Studio Production produced and directed the Paramount Pictures logo in 1984 at John Dykstra place. The mountain was a model miniature and the stars we done one of the first cg companies on the Paramount lot called Omnibus.
I came designed and directed the cg star animation. The animator was John Howard. It was one of the first gigs our company got. We were located on the Raleigh Studios lot across the street from Paramount, honest.

this is the insurrection version, first contact's was better i think, those nice booming timpani drums and the buildup into the rest of the film. but ins had a great relaxing theme leading into the sinister nature of the film, which i liked too. Two different ideas for the same clip, work of genius. sadly no longer with us.
