The sweet sounds of success. This an Oldsmobile 3.5L engine that I have adapted to a Porsche 996 6speed transmission to install in my KitCar. • Sorry for raising anyone's hope about using this combo in my kit car. I really wanted to go with a mid engine setup for my project indtead of rear engine so I bit the bullet and bought a wrecked boxster as a donor. This setup in this video will probably be sold unfortunately.

  • I am building a new garage to handle the rebuild of the kit car. About half done now. The engine and tranny have not really been touched since this video was taken. Geocities shut down their free accounts so I lost the wesbsite. I am planning to put the engine in the car but as of yet it has not been used....thanks for checking in

  • Freaking awsome...what kind of electronics did you use?

  • I bought it iff a guy that was going to put it into a jeep. He had the engine and ECU already but had never tried it. It is a Delphi ECU with a custom program that does away all the emissions stuff and puts out 230 HP. Unfortunately I don't know who manufactured it.

  • So, I know this is like, really old, but I have three of these motors, have worked extensively on them, and am curious about how this project turned out. The link for your website is dead.

  • k thanks, awsome mounting it to new tranny though. Good luck. BTW you might want to consider an engine stand.

  • Sounds muffle dfrom the camers....But has a cool purr.

  • Will be following with great interest.

  • sweet that is very different
