@jezz2k This is an echo caused by the magnetic signal on a winding of video tape being copied to an adjacent winding of tape on the cassette. It's called magnetic print-through.

@jeffrey44 The hand jive was brought in in 1986 and the first one is on youtube. I think it was around 1989 that it was changed to 3 gold runs and I dont know about the mascots.

If you turn your volume up real loud, you can hear one or two people in the audience saying the answer before the contestants buzz in. I swear I could hear "Mulberry" @ 1.16
