This is a video of my grandmother making a small 潮州 (Teochew) snack for me and my sis. We might've said some dumb things in the video so excuse us=P.

  • 好親切既口音

  • Tapioca Starch and Rice Flour is standard 潮州 fare, my grandma used to make all kinds of goodies with those two ingredients with chives and oysters as well. This 婆婆rocks!

  • Nice granny!

  • So sorry for double down or splitting the comments. Too much feeling for a Teochew lady in a Cantonese environment. She must have gone through a lot of abuse for not able to speak good Cantonese. At lease she got two loving grand daughters around her.

  • Rice flour, Sticky rice flour and her poor cantonese confirm that this is a Teochew snack. Want proof? Go to Bangkok Chinese area, and you can find vendors fying "sticky rice cake" with or without fillings, crispy outside, soft inside. The largest Teochew population in the world outside shantou. Give this old lady a break, she keeps her cooking clean, that is the matter. At her age, you think she give a F k what you think about her old kitchen.
