This micro Framework powered device has thermal, smoke, moisture and passive infra red sensors which can detect anything bad happening and let you know. If you are at home a loud warning sound will alert you before too much damage occurs. If you are away a text message or an RSS feed will alert you to bad things happening. The device would be designed to require no additional infrastructure in the house, over and above a WiFi or wired network. Entire streets could create a Zigbee mesh of devices that could be even lower cost.
