Welsh Fiddler Busker on the London Tube 22 Dec 2008

On a day when my sis made a surprise afternoon visit to London Town, we were treated to a delightful few minutes of Christmas busking by a Welsh fiddler who boarded our Piccadilly Train somewhere after Heathrow Terminal 5. He only played a few chunes but we were all well entertained. Unfortunately, I missed recording his tasty hybrid rendition of the James Bond theme with what I think was a Scottish Highlands folk tune. It's times like these I'm reminded, not that I need any, of why London is the world's greatest city. And like a true British gentleman, the musician asked everybody's permission in the carriage before he could start playing. Merry Christmas everybody and a Happy New Year!

yeh he is. in fact he's subsequently messaged me having found the video. asked me to rename the file as fiddler, rather than violinist. lovely fella! it's people like him who make it worthwhile living in this city! my sis was in the carriage with me and only visiting london for a few hours. what a lucky treat for her!

Chinese guy on the right ain't havin' it, lol. He's just reading his schedule and trying to pretend he's not there. If I had been there, I'd have been up and dancing a jig...but then again I'm American so there ya go...

@mcgillianaire i bet!! i mean i live in the hills of mid wales, so to hear something like this live is very rare for me, apart from the odd busker who might pop into the local town every now and then.
