Back to subject. Convincing Lanius to leave without a fight is so much better than to engage him in mortal combat. Your dialogue option is basically telling him in the face that he and his campaign is doomed from the beginning, AND GETTING HIM, AN ELITE UNCOMPROMISING WARRIOR, TO AGREE WITH YOU. Now that is a better victory than a hail of gunfire.

I played this game through and never got the same feeling of majesty as in Fallout 3... OR in Fallout 2. Somehow seems fake compared to the previous games.
