He actually spoke to my high school football team the night before we played our long time rivals. Sure enough we broke a 28 year losing streak the next night haha. Singletary wasn't the best NFL head coach, but Davis would not be the same man he was today and he/Nolan undeniably laid the framework for the team we have today. I am thankful for the previous suffering because Willis,Davis, and J. Smith will be great leaders for the future and current players.

Great player, not a great head coach. Vernon davis was in need of guidence but not his old school ways. The days of mike ditka and dare I say bill parcels are over. Screaming at these yooung boys will only incur their wrath not win rings.

Doesen't get the the credit he deserves for his years in shaping that defense and than coaching Patrick Willis and Vernon Davis, some of the key components on that team wouldn't be who they are today without Mike Singletary. He was a great player and a great motivator!
