excecllent vid. one of my Dad's first jobs was in Dundee, and he said he was in Dundee on the night they BURNED ALL THE TRAMS ! If I remember correctly he said that their bodies were made of aluminium, which apparently does burn once you get it to a high enough temperature. I guess its easy with hindsight, but to me it just looks like the stupidest decision to get rid of these - what with Edinburgh bringing them back etc

Super touch of nostalgia. and well presented. Thanks for that.
One wee slip of the keyboard -- the third pic is Albert Square / Meadowside, not Albert Street. Never mind, we can't ALL be perfect! :)

Hi Willie & Steve,
Living just a few miles from Dundee I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
Thank you.

I can just remember the 50's. They were great days. Dundee was a busy, vibrant, bustling city and it was the centre of my universe.
I would walk to the ninewells terminus and get a bus into town...it was an adventure to a wee lad and there was only one team in Dundee then! They wore Dark blue.
