  • As a subber to your page Ive been menaing to thank you for posting this !

  • @john4951

    No problem!

  • well i mean there is that and then his stuff with the byrds.... i mean if you think about it the guy mastered three styles of guitar playing to the UTMOST extent and i mean.... how many guitarists can you say that about ya know? lol

  • from traditional Bluegrass to The Byrds - he never sounded "out of place" !!

  • Bluegrass never forgets! Thanks Bob Seger for posting. It is a treat to hear the man's voice and get a feel for the enthusiasm he had about getting back together with his acoustic band. He comes off as very humble. To my ears his playing remains the pinnacle of country guitar.

  • He is one of my favorites for sure, if not top country-player. The guy had it in 'em. .. Can't learn that stuff.

  • The Jimi Hendrix of bluegrass guitar

  • Clarence was one of the most innovative guitarist ever. Not only that, but he did it in two distinct styles. In bluegrass he was untouched at his time for creativity, speed and accuracy. On electric he pretty much invented the country-rock style, including haviing the first B-bender built - now a must for country guitarists. I've studied his syles in depth - can only dream of what he'd have done in the past few decades.

  • "Weren't they the group that took the Alamo in San Antonio?" Is that guy serious? The Kentucky Colonels are legendary in bluegrass music.

  • What a waste of a great talent and more importantly a decent young man. One of the true greats not to be forgotten

  • Very cool man. I'm ready for Amsterdam. I don't know what the hell the interviewer was saying yet I understood every word. Clearly Clarence. Damn, man you never leave my subconscious.
