A vid of me playing through the first Pro Guitar tutorial, "Note Basics", on my new RB3 Squier Strat. I try my best to keep my left hand and the game in the picture at the same time. Hopefully, this will give you a feel for how the Pro Guitar works, as played by a beginner, not the ringers they have in the Harmonix and Fender videos. :-)
Watch in 720p to see more detail.

I am just a beginner. For a true pro's take on the new RB3 Squier Strat, check out this extensive 3 part review by Matt Rasmussen, guitarist of RBN band, Rose Of Jericho:

that actually looks pretty tough. doesn't give you to much warning which fret to play, does it?

You can slow it down at first if you want. Speeds go from 60% to 100% in 5% increments. These were all at 100%. If you having been playing normal, plastic guitar Rock Band for more than a year, like I have, you will be pretty comfortable with moving your hands in response to note indicators moving down a screen. I think this will be a great teaching method for Rock Band players, but could be tricky for people with little Rock Band background.

Hi, nice vid. What's the big click noise we hear when you hit a note?
Thanks

Thanks for your comment! I think that is the pick hitting the string. There is a mute bar that prevents the strings from vibrating during gameplay and it makes the strings quite tight and percussive sounding. I also may be picking too hard. I warped a medium gauge pick within a couple hours of gameplay and moved on to a heavier pick. Finally, the body of the guitar was close to the camcorder, which may have exagerrated the sound.
