Warcraft II came out 4 years before Starcraft so you can't compare them really. Both were epic and if you were cool enough to play one you absolutely played the other.

and starcraft 1 of course is super

Warcraft 2 and all Starcraft 2 is FTW!! But Warcraft 3 is one of the biggest fails :)

Its like Age of Empires I

my best favorite game

holy shit, i never play this game, but for my times warcraft 3 is old.

@wertyuil1 only a set amount of games being hosted every hour so the chance of finding an obscure (but still good) map wasnt half as rare as it is in starcraft 2.
And thats my thoughts on it, went on for quite a while there hopefully that clarifies why I personally prefer the World Editor over the Galaxy Editor.
Don't get me wrong, Starcraft 2 is still a good game. But honestly, the editor is a step backwards in my honest of opinions.

@wertyuil1 made by using JASS, and thats rather sad honestly. (For an example see TKoK or The Kingdom of Kalron)
the final issue I have for it includes a flaw with starcraft 2 the actual game.
Obscure maps are hidden into obscurity forever. This is a HUGE problem, quite a few of the best maps on warcraft 3 was obscure at some point or are still obscure. The popularity system and the way the servers always host every map flood out the obscurities.
At least in Warcraft 3 there was

@wertyuil1 thirdly starcraft 2 has a SERIOUS lack of resources right now, although this really isnt the editors fault, it's worth mentioning. Over the years Warcraft 3 has amassed quite a few resources, branching off from the default resources. Hell, theres even Starcraft models made for Warcraft 3.
Fourthly, i'll explain even more about the hero "support"... The inventory system is the sloppiest thing i've ever seen. Ever. Theres mods on Warcraft 3 that use better inventory systems

@wertyuil1 minutes, and theres really no benefit to doing it honestly. Starcraft 2 advertised having support for custom stats, while its true they did, its sloppy as hell. You can have a maximum of 4 stats on display at anytime before the rest of the stats are invisible hidden beneath the UI.
Not to mention all the extra work that goes into making heroes even possible and its still emulated sloppier. And lets face it, majority of maps use Heroes in some way or form.
god this brings back memories

I think a lot of commenters are people who are not old enough to realize the epicness of Warcraft 2 when it came out :)
