  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE!!! its so..whats the wordd... i think RAW is the word!

but i have just one question, don't the Rabbi's have a problem with hims singing this? it isn't jewish music if im not mistaken!

    again,

    GREAT PERFORMANCE

  • what is your objection to him singing this? My objection is that he's using a microphone.

  • > My objection is that he's using a microphone.

So what? It is a concert, not opera performance and not real liturgy. What is the problem to use microphone?

  • > don't the Rabbi's have a problem with hims singing this?

Hope, they have no problem with it.

It is not Jewish music (not to discuss what is the Jewish music is). But for Gur hasids it is not the problem :) - their traditional liturgical music contains so many valses, marches and polkas... one more melody won't be critical :)

  • Great voice. To my ear no fault. Might not be Pavarotti, but who says he has too be. He is a fantastic cantor and opera Singer

  • the hole thing is forced

  • What an incredible voice, full of emotion. No, the Cantor is not performing as an opera singer for his profession, but his variety of the music he sings is breath taking. Michael Bolton has sung opera at concerts as well! My Yiddishe Mama was recorded by Tom Jones......... I wish that the quality of the live concert video was better.....By the way, every note is Right On Pitch.....

  • You people there is nothing wrong with saying a good word about somone somtimes Its so nice to see how people like to criticize always he is amazing and there are maybe a handful of people in the world that could sing this piece and yes he is one of them.

  • You're right - I don't necessarily object to him using a microphone in concert. I think what I meant to say is that I do not believe he can sing it as an opera singer would without amplification.

To me - his singing ND does not signify anything. It's just cute - but it would certainly neither rival nor come close to anyone of the great performances that aria. We already know that he can hit high Ds - so the grand finale here is nothing too special.

  • I'd say, he did what he could. But he isn't an operasinger and you could hear it. Puccini tourned in his tomb as he heared it.

    Awful choir....

  • that idiot doesnt know he is singing about the principessa..the princess, shows you the guy is a phony ... a rabbi. makes me laugh....it is good for the business...bad choir, bad tape..he is fat,,so he has something in common with the late great pavarotti..

  • Great voice!

  • where was this concert?

  • Terrible singing, the last note is way sharp
