@ACLTony yes you are right about uhuru and the crime. i left st.pete in 07 because of the crime increase, but as a black man i miss the colorblind attitude of st.pete and i bet thats changing also because of increase of fear
@juseph29 - You're right, Gasparilla is hypocritical. I work with kids & try steering them in a right direction. St. Pete a better city for brotherhood? Respectfully, no. Back in the 70s-80s St. Pete was a great place to hang out and enjoy. Now, crime rate is high, many boys who have no dad in the home feel angry, have little interest in school, & are being raised by young moms and no dads. The Uhuru group generates anger instead of really helping our communities. Sad shape St. Pete is still in.
