I agree with the statement he had a way of owning or "Lutherizing" a song. I wish he had recorded this song on an album. But I do have the "Love, Luther" set and there is a verson of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "So Amazing" that are just incredible

Luther Vandross was truly incredible. He could take any artist song and make it his own. I sure I speak for countless others when I say that he is greatly missed. The artist of today need to take a page from the books of Luther, Patti, Aretha, Gladys, The O'Jays, Peabo Bryson, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores - Lord knows I could go on and on - and take R&B back to where these artist worked so hard to get it to. When I hear that today's music is labeled as R&B, I think that is an insult.

wow...i LOVE the way he "Lutherized" this rather unknown song...my life dream was to become one of his background singers...THEY ARE THE ABSOULUTE BEST!!!!...rest peacefully, Mr.Vandross...
