Myrick, Shadegg, Broun and Franks Call For CAIR Investigations

On October 14, US Reps. Sue Myrick (NC), John Shadegg (AZ), Paul Broun (GA) and Trent Franks (AZ) called on federal officials to investigate the Council on American Islamic Relations after a 2007 memo was published in a new book. The memo states CAIR's goals to place interns in the Committees on the Judiciary, Intelligence and Homeland Security. In 2008, CAIR was named a co-conspirator in a terrorism case involving the funneling of funds to HAMAS. Later that year, the FBI cut all ties with the organization.
