My First Day in Asia

It's story time again. This isn't about the "first" time I had a beer, but about my first night in Asia many years ago. When I arrived, I was jet-lagged, exhausted and about to learn something new about Korean liquor laws!

Cool! I was wondering about this. Koreans r like the Irish of Asia. I wonder if it's still this way today. When I visited Seoul the police block the streets and breathilize each driver.

Only thing I hated about getting a beer in Japan -- for some reason Japanese love a lot of head, so you would get beer with like 2-3 inches of head. Drove me nuts as an American. Had any experience with this?

Liked that story! Sort of reminded me of my first open drink in Japan. At a parade in Tokyo my Japanese friends and I were given a little cup of free beer from some beer co. Anyway, we proceeded to walk down the street, me giddy as could be at drinking out in the open like that. But then I looked down the street and saw 2 cops walking up the street...and Cdn that I am, my heart rate went up, I was almost sweating, and immediately hid my beer behind my back. I never lived it down!
