  • did you make a part 3?

  • @killzone474 I did. It is called "Part 3 of Making trees - game terrain or diorama -and update" I have a step-by-step howto article on game-terrain too. Just search for: making game terrain trees and you should find it. (link from my channel also)

  • So if I water down the flex paste do you think it might help minimize the clumping and spikey bits"?

  • Hard to say. There is an art to working with the stuff, lol.

It contracts a bit so the spikes go down. The stuff can be shaped after it dries and re-layered where spots are missed or where you had to shave a clump off.

Making bigger trees you can stick on bits of real bark while still wet.

  • You make your trees without roots on the bottom? If so, how do you fit them on a piece of terrain?

  • On the conifers the trunk has a point so I just push them into place.

For the wire twist I usually add a root or two (part 3 - which I haven't filmed yet) and twist the rest of the wire on the bottom into a point. Small hole, gob of white glue, and push into place.
