It's easy to make generalized comments about an entire religion when a select few of its practitioners commit atrocities, but I believe this song was meant to raise awareness about the atrocities committed by the pro-Muslim Sudanese government through its cruel agents, the Janjaweed; and not an all out assault on the religion of Islam.
