Christina34b is almost there. This song was recorded in 1969 detailing the ups/downs of life. E.g. in 1:03 the song says "when one looks back, everyone in this world stumbles (ie makes mistakes). In 1:14 when one looks back, everyone has broken dreams. In 1:56 when one looks back, everyone has experienced broken heartedness. In 2:04, when one looks back, there were moments who one could not take it (the hardship of life) anymore...It was aired in Hong Kong back in the early 70s.

I don't know Japanese too, but I read the meaning in Chinese in a Blog. The lyrics said: when one is alone in a trip, one always look back to one's home. One will feel lonely. At the moment of looking back, one can only see "WIND"(the theme of the song). The meaning of 2nd part is almost the same, just with a different senario.

In the last part, the lyrics said: walk step by step by yourself, don't look back, don't cry, keep on your trip.
